From ancient hill towns to jungle safaris — Gorkha, Bandipur, Pokhara, Lumbini & Chitwan on two wheels. Nepal's greatest hits, no filter, all road.
This is the definitive Nepal motorcycle journey for riders who want it all — Himalayan panoramas, ancient culture, wildlife, temples, and open road — without the extreme altitude of Mustang. Seven days, one Royal Enfield, and the whole country laid out in front of you.
The route threads through Nepal's most iconic destinations: the medieval hilltop town of Bandipur, the warrior history of Gorkha, the lakeside paradise of Pokhara, the birthplace of Buddha at Lumbini, and the wild jungles of Chitwan National Park.
Unlike high-altitude tours, this one is graded Easy — open to riders of all experience levels. Roads are mostly tarmac, riding days are manageable, and every night brings you to a comfortable place with a story worth telling.
The tour runs all year round, fully supported: expert guide, dedicated mechanic, all accommodation, most meals, and a farewell dinner back in Kathmandu. All you need is your riding gear and appetite for adventure.
Ride the foothills of the Annapurna massif — the same giants that tower over Mustang, seen from a gentler, greener angle through Bandipur and Pokhara.
A car-free Newari trading town perched above the clouds. Stone streets, traditional architecture, and some of the most dramatic valley views in Nepal.
The ancestral home of Nepal's warrior kings. Gorkha Palace sits dramatically above the valley — fortress, temple complex, and living history.
Phewa Lake, the Annapurna panorama, Sarangkot sunsets, Seti River Gorge — Pokhara is where every adventure traveller eventually ends up. For good reason.
The sacred garden where Siddhartha Gautama was born. An extraordinary pilgrimage site with monasteries from dozens of nations, all set in serene peace.
One-horned rhinos, Bengal tigers, gharial crocodiles, jungle elephants. Chitwan National Park — a UNESCO site and one of Asia's great wildlife experiences.
Nepal's iconic touring bike. The thumping single-cylinder matched perfectly to these roads — reliable, comfortable, and iconic in a way no other machine can claim.
The people of Nepal — Newari, Gurung, Tharu — are the tour's greatest highlight. Village stops, local food, traditional festivals, and genuine warmth everywhere you ride.
Welcome to Nepal. Airport transfer handled — check into Thamel and let the city's energy wash over you. In the evening our riding team meets you for a full briefing: routes, gear check, bike assignment, and a preview of what's ahead. If you want to explore Kathmandu's back alleys and temple courtyards before the wheels start turning, tonight's the night.
🛬 Arrive · Briefing · Get ReadyThe ride begins. Roll out of Kathmandu's chaos and head west, gaining altitude as Nepal's terraced midlands unfold around every bend. First stop: Gorkha — birthplace of Nepal's unifying king Prithvi Narayan Shah. The hilltop Gorkha Durbar palace and Gorakhanath Temple sit above the town like sentinels. Then it's on to Bandipur — a car-free Newari hilltop town perfectly preserved since the 18th century. Arrive by late afternoon, park up, and wander stone lanes as the light softens over the valley.
🏰 History · Hilltop Views · Newari CultureA shorter, scenic day — morning in Bandipur to catch the famous Himalayan sunrise from the hilltop viewpoint (Annapurna, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre all in one shot), then descend and ride the smooth valley road into Pokhara. Check in, grab lakeside lunch, and let the afternoon be yours. Boat ride on Phewa Lake, sunset at Sarangkot, or just a cold drink watching the mountains turn pink. All correct choices.
🌄 Sunrise Himalayas · Lakeside Arrival · Free AfternoonThe bikes rest — today is for exploring Pokhara properly. Morning hike to the World Peace Pagoda for a 360° Himalayan panorama. Visit the International Mountain Museum. Afternoon at Phewa Lake — boat ride to the Tal Barahi temple island, then up to Sarangkot for the most photographed sunset in Nepal. For the more active: paragliding, zip-lining, and the vertigo-inducing Seti River Gorge views are all within easy reach.
🏔 Peace Pagoda · Mountain Museum · Sarangkot SunsetA full riding day that transitions Nepal's landscape entirely — from Himalayan foothills down to the flat Terai plains. Stop mid-route at Tansen, a medieval hilltop town famous for its Newari architecture, traditional metalwork, and narrow bazaar lanes. Then descend to the sun-drenched lowlands and arrive at Lumbini — the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha. The sacred garden and Maya Devi Temple sit at the centre of an extraordinary complex of international monasteries. Quiet, profound, and unlike anywhere else on the tour.
🏯 Tansen Medieval Town · Terai Descent · Sacred LumbiniMorning in Lumbini Garden — the sacred grove where the Buddha was born under a sal tree. Visit the ancient Maya Devi Temple and the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC. Explore the monasteries built by China, Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and a dozen other nations. Then mount up for the afternoon ride east to Chitwan National Park, where the landscape shifts dramatically into sub-tropical jungle. Check into the lodge as the sounds of the forest take over.
🙏 Maya Devi Temple · Ashoka Pillar · Jungle ArrivalThe full Chitwan experience. Morning jeep safari into the national park — UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, leopard, sloth bear, and over 500 species of birds. Afternoon jungle walk with a naturalist guide. Visit the elephant breeding center. As evening falls, an extraordinary Tharu cultural programme — the indigenous people of the Terai bringing their music, dance, and storytelling to life around the fire.
🦏 Jeep Safari · Jungle Walk · Tharu Cultural NightThe final run. Climb back out of the Terai jungle, through the hilly middle belt, and return to Kathmandu with a week of Nepal stories rattling around your helmet. Evening farewell dinner with the team: stories swapped, photos shared, and that particular post-journey glow that only proper road trips produce. Nepal has a way of getting under your skin.
🏁 Final Ride · Farewell Dinner · Until Next TimeTransfer to Tribhuvan International Airport at your departure time. We'll see you off — and quietly hope the Royal Enfield bug has bitten hard enough that you're already looking at the Jomsom Muktinath tour dates on the way to the gate. See you back on the road.

Emperor Ashoka's 3rd-century BC stone column marking Lumbini as Buddha's birthplace — one of the oldest standing monuments in South Asia.

Your home country driving licence is accepted, or an International Driving Permit. Both work. Make sure it's valid before you fly to Nepal.
Our default is the Royal Enfield 350cc Classic. If you prefer a different bike, let us know at booking — the cost will be adjusted accordingly.
Bring your own complete gear — helmet, boots, gloves, and a jacket with back protection. Even on this Easy-rated tour, gear up properly.

The route can be adjusted to your preferences, pace, or interests. Mention any customisation requests at the time of booking.
This tour runs all year round. October–May is generally ideal. The monsoon (July–August) brings lush scenery but wet roads — still doable for the right rider.
Natural events, weather, road conditions, or political situations outside our control may affect the itinerary. Additional costs from such events are borne by participants.
The Nepal Motorcycle Tour runs all year. Spots per departure are limited to keep things personal. Send us a message and we'll sort your perfect dates.
